The Lincoln Community Forest (LCF) (396 acres) is located in the town of Lincoln in SE Bayfield County. The Friends of the Lincoln Community Forest was organized as a tax-exempt public charity “to  facilitate the conservation and enjoyment of the LCF”. The property is owned by the Landmark Conservancy (formally Bayfield Regional Conservancy) and managed with help of the Friends Group.

What we do to “facilitate the enjoyment” of the LCF

  • Provide amenities and deliver services that teach, support and promote nature based recreation (hunt, fish, hike, ski)
  • Host public events at the LCF

What we do to “facilitate the conservation” of the LCF

  • Adapt management to benefit priority species in decline like wood turtles and bats
  • Control invasive species and collect water chemistry
  • Plant trees and manage the forest for climate change
  • Teach about conservation

*A gift to the Forever Forest Fund is a gift that lives on forever. It holds the promise that the Lincoln Community Forest thrives in our lifetime and remains intact in its beauty and abundance for our grandchildren and their children for generations to come.
