Forest Projects Committee Charge

Friends of the Lincoln Community Forest

The Forest Projects Committee implements projects and programs on the Forest that were identified and prioritized by the Board.  The Forest Projects Committee has the authority and responsibility to:

  • Develop an annual work plan by October 1 for the upcoming year.
  • Schedule at least three committee meetings annually and prepare meeting notes
  • Spend time in and become familiar with the Forest
  • Consider additional tasks as needed
  • Assign a project coordinator or ad hoc committee chair responsible for completing and maintaining projects approved by the Board
    • Safe nesting habitat projects for wood turtles
    • Hiking and ski trails construction and maintenance
    • Trailhead development and maintenance
    • Timber harvest and subsequent management
